Bleeding Heart

CrAq(Co) Level 10
R: Voice, D: Diameter, T: Ind
The target of this spell bleeds heavily from an unseen wound in the middle of their chest right above their heart. They suffer no pain since the blood is magical but until the wound is verified as not real a personality check 9+ is needed to do anything other then tend this dramatic but harmless wound. At the end of the spell the blood dramatically pulls back into the target and disappears.
(Base: 3, R: Voice +2, D: Diameter +1, T: Individual)

Contributor: Andrew Mitchell
Note: the magical blood is not an arcane connection to the target.

Conjuration of the Grape’s Gift

CrAq Level 10
R: Touch, D: Moon, T: Ind
This spell fills an empty bottle with a pleasant tasting wine.
Onoria of Tremere developed this spell to ensure that she never arrived at one of her contact’s houses without a gift. The duration of the spell ensured that the wine would remain good, even if the bottle was not drunk that day.

Column of the Deluge

CrAq Level 10
R: Voice, D: Momentary, T: Ind
Creates 700 gallons of water suspended in the air, in the shape of a column, 1 pace across and 30 paces high which then will rush to the ground with great force. This will destroy unfortified small buildings, and cause some damage to larger ones, especially to their contents. If created over a human sized target, a Finess + Per roll is required vs the target's defense. Such a target is delt +10 damage. The target, and any persons within 5 paces of the impact site must make Dex + Athletics rolls of 6+ or be knocked down, suffering +0 damage.

Water as Fire

CrAq Level 15
R: Voice, D: Diameter, T: Ind
This spell creates a bucket full of highly corrosive oil of vitriol which spills over the targeted individual. The oil does + 4 damage each round, and can be removed with copious amounts of water. A target with equipped armor may acutally use twice the added armor rating as a soak bonus, however each round of exposure permantly destroys 1 point of armor rating. This has no effect on natural armor, such as granted by the Virtue "Tough".

Purification of the Clear Well

CrAq 30 Ritual
R: Touch, D: Momentary, T: Individual
This ritual is cast upon the waters of a well. Any disease or poisonous agent within the waters is removed, leaving the water clean and free of taint (unless one is later introduced).
Having made some study of medicine, Carissa read that drinking water could cause ill health. Recognising that unclean water might cause imbalance of the humours, she developed this ritual to ensure the water was clean. Carissa, being wealthier than most villagers, never drank water herself, of course. She exclusively drank watered wine or weak cider.

Notes: I’ve been slightly generous with the effect (allowing poisons and disease agents) given the limited applications of this spell.

Onyx Draught of Waiting Death

CrAq 40
R: Touch, D: Sun, T: Individual
This spell creates a single, black, drop of poison from the end of the Magus’ finger which can be then dripped into a person’s drink. Upon drinking the liquid, the victim suffers a Fatal Wound from the poison consumed.
In Hadrianus’ version of the spell the black drop is squeezed from the index finger of his left hand. His sigil is expressed by the victim’s veins turning black as they suffer the effects of the poison.

The Sea of Death

CrAq 80 Ritual
R: Sight, D: Year, T: Boundary
This spell fills a small valley (up to 900 paces in diameter) with a poisonous black liquid, that is a fatal poison. The valley is completely filled, forming a new lake which is magically maintained for a year. Posion taken away from the lake quickly turns thinner and dissipates.
Any animal that lives there will probably die, and no animal (not even insects) can live within this dark place.
(Base 25, +3 Sight, +4 Year, +4 Boundary,+2 size)
